The camp started in 1992 using rented facilities in north Georgia and Alabama; then in 1998 the Atlanta Church of Christ purchased 188 acres in Penfield, Georgia and built what is now known as "Swamp Camp." Created to provide a safe place for folks, especially kids, to come and get away from a hectic day-to-day life and taste a little part of heaven. Since its inception, Swamp Camp has seen over 27,000 campers, 2,500 counselors, and 1,700 volunteers experience its magic.  We have had over 30 states and nine (9) countries to visit us thus far.  Hope you will be next!
