Ways to Serve
We have so many opportunities to serve at Camp Swamp! From paid to volunteer staff, we believe all of this is in partnership with God. Here you will learn all of the ways you can be part of and get involved in our Camp Swamp community!
1. Volunteer during our Camps or retreats
There are so many ways to volunteer during our camps and retreats. We need volunteer counselors, media specialist (photographers or videographers), kitchen workers, maintenance & upkeep crew, medical staff, and our behind-the-scene (teen) workers.
2. volunteer on a Camp Swamp Committee
Do you love Camp Swamp? Ever wondered how you can possibly give your talents or gifts to camp? Camp Swamp would love for you to consider giving your time to serving on our Board and/or Board Committees. Contact Joe Moon, Board President, regarding opportunities to serve on the Board or Committee.
3.Serve as a Camp Swamp Ambassador
We want our community to grow and for kids all over the world to experience a safe, spiritual space. This includes your friends and your neighbors! If everyone brought one friend, we would fill the weeks with more connections than ever thought possible!
4.Follow us on Instagram and Facebook
Following us on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook help us to reach people that don’t know about camp yet!
5. interact & share our post and reels on your Instagram and Facebook stories
The more you comment, like, share, or tag us in your photos, the more Camp Swamp is shared. This is 100% free and even keeps you up to date on the latest photos and events!
6. share your camp stories in your community & with us
Spread the word! If you love camp or have stories, share them with those you love. Ask your church leaders if you can share what camp has done for you or email your stories to us, so we can share them too! We love knowing about how you found us and what camp was like for you.
7. Recommend Camp Swamp to friends and family
Whether you attend a particular camp or retreat, there’s always an opportunity to recommend Camp Swamp to friends and family. Even if you no longer attend summer camp because you aged out, we would love for you to still recommend summer camp to friends and family who are eligible to join us.
8. Bring a friend to camp
We want our community to grow and for kids all over the world to experience a safe, spiritual space. This includes your friends and your neighbors! If everyone brought one friend, we would fill the weeks with more connections than ever thought possible!
9. Pray for us & be creative
Prayers work, so partner with us as we partner with the Creator. These aren’t the only way to support us! We’ve seen campers hold bake sales for donations or make videos to promote camp and we are so grateful for every kind of support you give us.

We choose counselors who are fun-loving, high-energy, spiritually-minded, creative people who love working with children. Our counselors are able to share with campers their appreciation for God, and connect with them on a deep level. They are people we trust to influence our own children, so you can be assured and confident in their ability to take care of yours. In addition, our staff is reliable, honest, and have high principles for themselves. They are tremendous servants and live by a set of standards that ensure the safety of every member of camp.

The camp medical staff is an integral part of camp. ‘Impossible’ is the best way to describe running camp without the expertise, patience, and loving care of our camp medical staff. Most of the duties consist of administering medications and treating sprains, cuts, insect bites, and stomach aches. At times the medical care requires further skill, but we always hope your emergency training is not needed! Anyone applying to be on the Medical Staff is required to submit an application of health, tender all pertinent licenses, complete a Camp Swamp Values paragraph, and pass a third-party background check.
